Our Team

  • Erik(a) Boss, (they/them), Chair

Erik or Erika Boss lived in Laramie, Wyoming, before moving away for undergrad and graduate school. They moved back to Laramie, after completing requirements for a Master’s of Divinity degree in Chicago, to be closer to family and friends. Erik(a) has a partner, a baby, and one more on the way in July 2026. Erik(a) was activated after an anti-ICE protest in 2018 upon discovering that the infrastructure for concentration camps were not only developing, but were fully operational. “My vision for YDW by the end of my term is to hand off an infrastructure that can be used by any young democrat to begin an election campaign that is already fully in motion. To accomplish this goal, I will work with my team to grow, to develop statewide toleration or excitement for the Democratic Party, and to educate the youth about why our state constitution all but demands we follow a two party system, giving the power to these two established parties.” If you feel without hope for your county, your state, or your nation, Erik(a) would like you to find hope in pursuing your passion. Hope is always found when you join other people for a common cause.

They were a part of an environmental justice program at CU Boulder that was cut due to attacks against DEIJ. L is trained in facilitation, non violent deescalation, antiracism, and movement building. L has made it their lifelong mission to continue to learn, listen, and step up when it comes to injustice in the world. When L isn’t doing work with the community, they are writing poetry, making art, or taking care of their beautiful child.

  • Rayne Goins, (she/her), Treasurer

Rayne Goins is a Sheridan native who studied flute throughout college and has degrees in Music, Music Technology, and Music Entrepreneurship. Previously a “who cares about politics?” type of person, Rayne has now made it her life goal to educate young people about the influence that politics has on their daily lives. She spends her time working with her state and county democratic parties to expand on this goal, and helped reform the Young Democrats of Wyoming. “I think that that kind of ‘who cares’ mentality I was conditioned to have really gives us the mindset that only old white men with money can influence our government, when in reality we all should be working to regain our power back as the people of America. We all live here, so we should all be able to influence how it goes.” She is passionate about reproductive rights and economic reform in Wyoming. When she has free time, she can be found at home, with her three cats, playing Stardew Valley.

  • Lindsey Hall, (she/her), Representative

Lindsey Hall is a current Masters in Social Work student at the University of Wyoming with a Bachelors degree in Political Science. She has a passion for U.S. politics, feminism, social justice, and community care and organizing. These passions were first discovered for Lindsey in her high school involvement with We The People and AP U.S. Government, which ultimately led her to pursue her degree in Political Science. In this pursuit, however, Lindsey discovered that while she was passionate about politics, the connection between the personal and political is rarely explored within the field. Taking her passion for politics and heart for people, she decided to pursue her Masters as a means to combine the two, especially when it comes to youth. Lindsey hopes to one day inspire young people to get involved in the political world as a way to seize their future and affect meaningful and impactful social change. Outside of her work, Lindsey can be found socializing with friends and family, lifting weights, hiking, or cooking up a new recipe!
